The Mariental Municipality hereby informs the public that 31 August 2025 will be the final day unregistered electrical contractors will be permitted to perform any electrical installation work within the municipal jurisdiction.
Effective 1 September 2025, only registered electrical contractors will be authorized to carry out electrical installations and issue Certificates of Compliance (COCs), in line with both municipal and national regulations.
All unregistered contractors are strongly encouraged to complete their registration before the deadline. Failure to comply may lead to enforcement actions, including the suspension or termination of any non-compliant work. We appreciate your cooperation in ensuring compliance and maintaining safety standards across all electrical works
